Four US vets blocked from assisting local spay/neuter clinic
The Humane Society of Grand Bahama is "very disappointed" that four US veterinarians have been blocked by the Department of Agriculture from assisting with a local spay/neuter clinic.

At approximately 11:28am, Tuesday 8th June, 2010, the police were notified of a stabbing incident in the Emerald Drive area of Coral Gardens.
The Police responded and on their arrival, two males were discovered one age 31 years was suffering from stab wounds to the body and head and the other age 35 years was suffering from a stab wound to the shoulder area.

Dog cruelty judgment 'a hollow victory'
FREEPORT - The Humane Society of Grand Bahama believes the animal cruelty judgment in the case of a severely malnourished dog was a "hollow victory".
After a year of adjournments in the Magistrates Court, of Wenito Bootle suddenly changed his plea to guilty and was granted a conditional discharge and ordered to pay $1,758 in costs.
